Homemade Box Trap

A video showing homemade box traps and how to build them. This is part one of a series. There are links at the end to the rest of the videos in the series, but part one covers the basics of the design well enough to enable you to build your own trap.

Under $350 New Pistols

The only pistol on that list that I agree with is the Mak or clone. My other 4 choices would be: Ruger P95, Taurus 85, Charter Pathfinder .22 Mag, and Ruger Mark III Standard. Out of all those, my first choice for defensive carry would be the Taurus 85, all steel small-frame +P rated .38 Special. The NAA is a great little revolver but the manual of arms is unacceptable for defensive use, and the version they show is useless for anything else except plinking. North American Arms does however make some longer-barreled versions that are more useful. The usefulness of the MkIII speaks for itself. Or better yet, a Single-Six. The reason I chose the guns I listed is that the video was oriented toward defensive carry guns that sell for $350 or less, new. Of course, the Makarov isn't new, but they included it anyway. In reality, I would drop the P95 and replace it with one of the police turn-in Smith and Wesson Model 10, K-frame .38 Special revolvers; but only if I can inspect it before I buy. Even better would be a police turn-in fixed-sight Ruger GP-100 in either .357 Magnum or .38 Special. A year ago I would have said a new blued fixed-sight GP-100 in .38 Special, because they were available (probably as overruns from a large contract) for as little as $350, but the supply has since dried up.
