The latest copy of The Backwoodsman magazine contains an article by Charlie Fox extolling the virtues of a book called "Camp Life and the Tricks of Trapping", by W. Hamilton Gibson. The copyright date was given as 1881, so I decided to search for it on Project Gutenberg. Sure enough, I found it, so here is the link. You can download it for free in Plucker, HTML or plain text formats.
